Mrs LINDA PRIDDY

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Leaving and Matriculation certificates (1973).

Diploma in Teaching (Churchlands Teachers College – 1977).

Eight years primary school teaching with the Western Australian Education Department (1978 – 1985).

Private tutoring and designing learning programmes to assist children (pre-primary to Year 12) in Spelling, Reading, Creative Writing and Mathematics (concepts and times tables).

In 1992, implemented a Spelling Course suitable for 8 year olds and adults.

In 1994, commenced a Creative Writing and Paraphrasing Course as a complement to (and extension of) the Spelling Course.

Have successfully taught these courses each year since then until 2010, on a “one evening per week” basis. Two groups run, the first from 6:30 to 7:30pm catering to Year 3 to Year 7 students, and the second from 7:45 to 8:45pm for Year 8 to Year 12 students as well as adults.

In 1999, I was engaged by Lake Joondalup Baptist College (LJBC) to teach my Spelling Course after school to Years 8, 9 and 10 students (one afternoon per week for three terms).

In 2000, I was engaged by LJBC to teach my Spelling Course during school hours to Years 8, 9 and 10 English Enrichment classes (one hour a week per class, for three terms).

In 2001, I was offered a position to teach a Year 8 English Enrichment class at LJBC (unable to accept due to other commitments).

In 2000, I created a method and specific tests (for children and adults) to determine the optimal colour for the retina which affects to varying degrees, an individual’s ability to learn and retain information. This is my Colour Eye Analysis for Tinted Lenses. This can provide a solution to enhance (and for some, unlock) people’s ability to learn and retain information from a written format. This testing method is still in use today (2019).
